A 1950s vintage wirework "atomic" magazine rack, in original black painted finish with bright yellow plastic "cocktail cherry" feet (see main picture for the best idea of the colour - they are not as bright as they appear in some of the other pictures), measuring approximately 42.8cm (16.85in) long, 19.8cm (7.8in) wide and 34.5cm (13.6in) tall (max). There is some corrosion to the metal throughout together with patches of loss to the painted finish, surface wear and slight marking; there is likewise some wear and marking to the feet commensurate with age. Although we have chosen to sell this piece in its unrestored state, in which it should appeal to devotees of "shabby chic", the purchaser may prefer to repaint it in a finish of their own choice!
