A c.1960s vintage round pendant lampshade / light shade in semi-flexible translucent pale yellow polythene (similar to vintage Tupperware), somewhat resembling a golf ball with its all-over pattern of small shallow squares, measuring approximately 16cm (6.3in) in height and 18cm (7.1in) in diameter (max); the lampholder hole measures approximately 2.8cm (1.1in) wide, and thus should fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder. This example is somewhat unusual in being coloured (most shades of this type seem to have been moulded in uncoloured plastic); the colour appears more concentrated at the top and bottom of the shade where the plastic is thicker. There are some slight marks (including a few paint specks) to the surface together with slight age wear including occasional scratches; the opening at the base of the shade is somewhat uneven in shape, whilst the twin vertical moulding seams are visible at the top and (to a lesser extent) the bottom of the shade.
