Retro spun fibreglass lampshade (red, approx 6 x 4 inch), c.1960s-70s (B)

A c.1960s-70s cylindrical spun fibreglass lampshade (suitable for a table lamp or pendant fitting), in red, measuring approximately 15.5cm (6.1in) in height and 10.4cm (4.1in) in diameter, with metal shade holder attached to the shade with metal studs.  The lampholder hole measures approximately 2.8cm (1.1in) in diameter, and thus should fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder.  There is moderate age wear to the shade including some marking and possible discoloration to the surface, slight bumping to the edges, some horizontal stress cracking adjacent to the shade holder studs and one or two other slight horizontal cracks (these, although visible, do not detract unduly from its appearance as they run in the same direction as the glass fibre); the shade holder is tarnished with slight rust, the studs being likewise tarnished with verdigris.
