A c.1960s-70s cylindrical spun fibreglass lampshade (suitable for a table lamp or pendant fitting), in orange, measuring approximately 15.1cm (5.95in) in height and 10.3cm (4.05in) in diameter, with metal shade holder attached to the shade with metal studs (those on this particular shade being rather larger than usual). The lampholder hole measures approximately 2.8cm (1.1in) in diameter, and thus should fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder. There is moderate age wear to the shade with considerable marking (including numerous small dark spots and some white paint marks) and possible age discoloration, together with slight horizontal stress cracking adjacent to the shade holder studs, a small area of bumping with horizontal cracking to the lower edge, and a few other horizontal cracks (these, although visible, do not detract unduly from its appearance as they run in the same direction as the glass fibre); the shade holder is somewhat rusty, the studs being likewise tarnished with verdigris.
