Retro glass lampshade (white with textured criss-cross lines), c.1960s

A c.1960s vintage tapered cylindrical glass lampshade (perhaps originally from a ceiling or wall light, but also suitable for a pendant fitting), in clear glass with opaque translucent white finish to the exterior with a pattern of textured criss-cross lines (with varying amounts of texturing including tiny raised coloured spots to the remainder of the exterior), measuring approximately 15.8cm (6.2in) in height, 10.2cm (4in) in diameter at the top and 8.9cm (3.5in) in diameter at the base; the lampholder hole measures approximately 2.9cm (1.15in) in diameter, and thus should fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder.  There is some age wear and marking to the surface including some discoloration near the base, together with nibbling around the lampholder hole (not of course visible when the shade is hung), whilst there are minor manufacturing imperfections including a smallish raised bump to the base edge.
