Retro glass lampshade (white squares / textured grid pattern), c.1960s

A c.1960s vintage barrel-shaped glass lampshade (perhaps originally from a ceiling or wall light, but also suitable for a pendant fitting), in clear glass with an all-over pattern of opaque translucent white squares with clear textured grid lines to the exterior, measuring approximately 16cm (6.3in) in height and 11cm (4.35in) in diameter at its widest; the lampholder hole measures approximately 3cm (1.2in) in diameter, and thus will fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder.  There is some marking to the exterior (mainly at the top and around the base) together with slight age wear to the white finish, whilst there is some roughness and nibbling to the base edge and around the lampholder hole (the latter not of course being visible when the shade is hung).
