A c.1960s vintage fluted glass lampshade with gently curved sides (perhaps originally from a ceiling or wall light, but also suitable for a pendant fitting), in satin finish to the exterior and white finish (probably sprayed) to the interior, measuring approximately 15.5cm (6.1in) in height (including raised area around the lampholder hole) and 8.9cm (3.5in) in diameter at the base; the lampholder hole measures approximately 3cm (1.2in) in diameter, and thus will fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder. There is some age wear including scratching and marking to the surface (including a few paint marks to the exterior and some ingrained dirt to the interior), with a few nibbles to the base edge and some small chips and nibbles around the lampholder hole (the latter not of course being visible when the shade is hung), together with minor manufacturing imperfections in the glass.
