Propert's "Coloured Cloth and Leather Ball" (buff) in original box

A Propert's "Coloured Cloth and Leather Ball" (colour: buff) in its original box, "For cleaning Suede, Ooze Calf & Cloth Boots & Shoes. Also suitable for Suede Gloves, Leather Leggings, Cord Breeches, Cloth Spats, &c.", produced by B. Beddow & Sons, Battersea Park Road, London.  The box, which measures approximately 7.2 x 7.2 x 4.6cm (2.85 x 2.85 x 1.8in), has an Edwardian appearance, although it may be of later date.  Directions for use are given on two sides of the lid; a small label states that instructions for dry cleaning are to be found inside, but there are none.  There is some wear, discoloration and slight marking to the exterior of the box, including pencil marks to the base, together with some chipping to the edges of the "ball" (actually a cylindrical block) inside.
