Prinknash pottery tankard in pewter glaze with lion-shaped handle

A Prinknash pottery tankard in pewter glaze with lion-shaped handle, measuring approximately 14.6cm (5.75in) in height and 12cm (4.7in) in diameter at the base, which is marked in relief "PRINKNASH / MADE IN ENGLAND".  There are two or three slight scratches to the exterior, together with slight scuffing to the handle, and some age marking, slight scratching and minor crazing to the external base; the interior has some greenish and whitish marks and variations in the appearance (not the feel) of the glaze, together with some scratching and age wear.  As might be expected in studio wares of this type, there are some slight manufacturing irregularities, for example in the shaping of the rim.
