A vintage (1963 or later) Price Kensington Cottage Ware handpainted mug (with purple-greyish greenery), measuring approximately 9.9cm (3.9in) in height and 8.3cm (3.25in) in diameter at the top; the base bears a standard green printed Price Kensington stamp (as used from 1963) together with a brown painted mark, and is impressed "MADE IN ENGLAND / P & K". There is a chip (approximately 1.2 x 0.3cm / 0.45 x 0.1in) to the base edge together with occasional light scratching / surface wear; this example is of comparatively rough quality with much of the surface having a semi-glossy, lightly textured feel instead of the usual smooth glossy finish, whilst there are a couple of rough lumps to the base edge together with a tiny glazed-over lump to the interior and some pinholes in the glaze.
