A vintage (1963 or later) Price Kensington Cottage Ware handpainted rectangular butter dish, measuring approximately 10.4cm (4.1in) in height including lid and 14.7 x 7.8cm (5.8 x 3.05in) at the base, which bears a standard green printed Price Kensington stamp (as used from 1963) together with a small brown painted mark, and is impressed "MADE IN ENGLAND". There is crazing to the surface throughout together with some scratches, and the underside edge of the lid is rough with lumps and chips (which may or may not date from manufacture); there are numerous other manufacturing imperfections including large glazed-over chips to the inside edge and outside base edge, rough patches to the surface, spot marks and tiny raised spots in the glaze.
