A vintage (1963 or earlier) Price Bros Cottage Ware handpainted toast rack (to hold three pieces of toast), measuring approximately 10 x 6.2 x 6.6cm (3.95 x 2.45 x 2.6in); the base bears a blue-grey Price Bros printed stamp (not fully legible) together with a small brown painted "V", and is impressed "MADE IN / ENGLAND". The surface is crazed throughout with slight scratches and spots of abrasion, and perhaps slight wear to the painted decoration; there are various manufacturing imperfections including spot marks, small lumps and pinholes in the glaze.
