A vintage (1963 or earlier) Price Bros Cottage Ware set of four handpainted egg cups, with square stand / tray with square recesses for the cups divided by handpainted "paths". The stand, which measures approximately 17cm (6.7in) across including handles, bears a blue-grey Price Bros printed stamp together with a small painted mark; the cups each measure approximately 4.4cm (1.75in) in height and 5cm (1.95in) in external diameter. All four cups and the stand are finely crazed throughout with some scratches and slight scuffing / abrasion, and there are occasional small patches of light staining; one cup has a few nibbles (perhaps dating from manufacture) to the edge of the foot, and there are various manufacturing imperfections including irregular edges, tiny spot marks and small lumps in the glaze.
