Pope Paul VI "Bless This House" decorative heart-shaped china plate, c.1963-78 (SOLD)

A heart-shaped decorative wall-hanging china plate, measuring approximately 18.4cm (7.25in) across, with gilt rim, two small transfers of roses and a large colour transfer portrait of H.H. Pope Paul VI (His Holiness between 1963 and 1978 - the plate must thus date from this period although, design-wise, it belongs to a much earlier era).  The underside of the plate is marked "FOREIGN", and has two holes for a hanging wire or cord behind the foot.  There is slight wear to the transfers and gilt rim, together with a few scratches, a tiny fleabite to the foot, a few tiny spot marks and some small patches / lines of stray gilt.
