Product description

Poor Jack - Captain Frederick Marryat (c.1912) - hardback fiction book - pictorial cloth binding

An attractively bound early 20th century edition of this classic novel, set in Greenwich and originally published in 1840, by the Royal Navy officer and author of sea stories and children's novels including "Mr Midshipman Easy" and "The Children of the New Forest".

Although this original antique volume shows various signs of age (see condition description below), it remains complete (except for the rear endpaper) and fully legible, and would make a lovely addition to a collection of classic juvenile or nautical fiction - or an appealing accessory for a recreation of an Edwardian period room setting.
