A typically late 1960s or early 1970s Poole Pottery "Delphis" plant pot / planter, decorated in an abstract red, blueish-green and black design to the exterior, with off-white glazed interior and base, and measuring approximately 11cm (4.35in) in height and 11.4cm (4.5in) in diameter at the top; the base is marked with a printed "POOLE / England" dolphin stamp (as used from 1966-80) with the shape number "78", together with the decorator's mark (three short black painted dashes). The surface is crazed throughout, some of the crazing at the base of the interior being stained; there are some scratches and small marks, and there is a short crack or faultline (independent of the crazing) about 2cm (0.8in) long about half way down the side, albeit visible to the interior only.
