"Polperro" souvenir pottery dish, c.1950s (SOLD)

A c.1950s vintage souvenir pottery dish with scalloped edges, measuring approximately 13.75cm (5.4in) across, in shiny white glaze with gilt rim and transfer decoration consisting of a central "Polperro" crest and surrounding seagull motifs; the base bears the printed stamp "MADE IN / ENGLAND".  There is slight wear to the gilt and transfers, together with a few small marks and scratches, a small unglazed patch of abrasion to the external side, and a couple of rough unglazed patches (possibly slight chipping) to the edge.
