Peek Frean's large round biscuit tin with leaves and berries design, 1950s

A large round 1950s Peek, Frean & Co., Ltd., biscuit tin (empty), measuring approximately 24.5cm (9.65in) in diameter and 8.2cm (3.25in) in depth, with printed design incorporating assorted leaves, berries, nuts and insects.  There is some corrosion / rust to the outside of the lid and in patches to the interior, and there is a small pinhole (approximately 1.5mm square) rusted through the base near the edge.  The printed design is worn around the edge of the lid, and there is considerable tarnish to the interior, together with some dents / indentations and wear to the brass-finished exterior of the base (which has given it a somewhat "distressed" appearance).
