A pair of c.1930s wooden (probably oak) candlesticks, in an Art Deco cone-and-ball design with brass candle-holding inserts, each measuring approximately 18.2cm (7.15in) in height and 9.4cm (3.7in) in diameter at the base. The surface of the wood has a degree of patination and wear (including scratches and indentations) commensurate with its age; the brass inserts have been left unpolished, and there are traces of old wax around them. Please note that the bases are not truly circular and are somewhat warped, rendering the candlesticks somewhat wobbly - the purchaser would be advised to take suitable measures to make the bases flat if they are to be used!
