A pair of c.1930s vintage powder containers (of identical design but different size) with internal powder puff trays, in cornflower blue plastic (probably urea formaldehyde) with screw-top lids moulded in an Art Deco design, and marked "BERTON. / LONDON. ENGLAND" to the base; the larger container measures approximately 10cm (3.95in) in diameter and 3.5cm (1.4in) in depth, the smaller approximately 7.7cm (3.05in) in diameter and 2.8cm (1.1in) in depth. There is considerable age wear including numerous light scratches to the exterior of the smaller container, and lesser wear to the exterior of the larger one, whilst both have slight fading / discoloration to the more exposed areas; the interiors are both in good condition apart from some light scratching (mainly to the smaller powder puff tray).
