A pair of twin-handled souvenir china vases, c.1900-20, with moulded decoration, heavy gilding to the front, and small coloured transfer views of "THE PROMENADE PIER" and "THE HOE & SHELTER" respectively, each with the greeting "A PRESENT FROM PLYMOUTH".  The vases each measure approximately 12.6cm (4.95in) in height, 9.5cm (3.75in) across from handle to handle, and 4.6 x 5.7cm (1.8 x 2.25in) at the bases, which are both marked "Foreign" and "5" in gilt.  The opening of the "Hoe & Shelter" vase has had three of its front "teeth" chipped away, and there is some other slight chipping / roughness to the openings of both vases; both likewise have some wear to the gilt decoration (especially to the left handle of "Hoe & Shelter"), occasional slight scratches, slight surface marks and some age marking to the feet.  There are various manufacturing irregularities to both vases including roughness and unevenness to the openings and occasional spots and small lumps in the glaze; the interiors and bases are unglazed.
