A very old (probably c.1900-30) cardboard photographic plate box with inner pull-out drawer, measuring approximately 9.1 x 12.1 x 2.7cm (3.6 x 4.75 x 1.05in). To each side of the box (which is empty) are large labels with directions for use of the contents, both of which are printed "PAGET PRIZE PLATE COMPANY, / WATFORD"; to one side is a label which reads "WOOD, ABRAHAM'S / LIVERPOOL", whilst to the underside of the drawer there is a red "ILFORD / SPECIAL / RAPID" label together with pencilled names(?) and a printed number. There is considerable age wear to the box including discoloration, marking and torn-off areas to the main labels, wear to the edges and corners (through which reinforcing cloth can be seen), discoloration to the interior, and slight tearing to the corners of the drawer.
