P. G. Rogers, "Battle in Bossenden Wood: The Strange Story of Sir William Courtenay" (London, Readers Union / Oxford University Press, 1962; first published 1961).  Hardback, 241pp (plus title, preface and contents pages and eight pages of illustrations), measuring approximately 13 x 19 x 1.7cm (5.1 x 7.5 x 0.65in).  This book tells the story of "the mad Cornishman who became a nine-day wonder in June 1838".  The dustjacket is complete but tattered, marked and discoloured; there is minor bumping to the cover and page edges, together with some yellowing to the pages and slight foxing and marking to the end pages.
