A silver-plated strainer of ornate Victorian design, probably dating from between 1890 and 1930 (there are no identifying marks), with curved handle and pierced shell-shaped bowl, measuring approximately 15cm (5.9in) in length in a straight line from the tip of the bowl to the end of the handle and 5.1cm (2in) wide at the bowl. As might be expected with a piece of this age, there is some scratching and wear to the plating.
