An original vintage calendar from 1948, measuring approximately 20.2 x 12.7cm / 7.95 x 5in (plus calendar tab), with a colour picture entitled "The Garden of Peace", printed on bevelled card. This is one of many original 1948 calendars of various designs which we have acquired as a job lot. These calendars are old shop stock and therefore unused, although they are not in mint condition, having been stored for many years in less-than-ideal conditions; this one therefore has slight spotting to the picture, some marking and discoloration to the bevelled edges, and slight bumping to the corners, rear edges and calendar tab. These calendars nevertheless remain reasonably presentable, and would provide an authentic finishing touch to a period room setting - and would make an interesting and unusual birthday gift for anyone who turns 65 in 2013!
