An original vintage calendar from 1948, measuring approximately 20.2 x 12.7cm / 7.95 x 5in (plus calendar tab), with a colour picture of a Scottish scene entitled "Summer in the Highlands", printed on bevelled card. This is one of many original 1948 calendars of various designs which we have acquired as a job lot. These calendars are old shop stock and therefore unused, although they are not in mint condition, having been stored for many years in less-than-ideal conditions; this one therefore has some marking, patchy discoloration and very slight wear to the picture, together with some marking discoloration to the bevelled edges and slight bumping to the corners. These calendars nevertheless remain reasonably presentable, and would provide an authentic finishing touch to a period room setting.
