An original vintage calendar from 1948, measuring approximately 20.2 x 12.7cm (plus calendar tab), with a colour picture of a rural scene with sheep on a snow-covered path, entitled "Radiant Eve", printed on bevelled card. This is one of many original 1948 calendars of various designs which we have recently acquired as a job lot. These calendars are old shop stock and therefore unused, although they are not in mint condition, having been stored for many years in less-than-ideal conditions; this one therefore has slight surface wear, marking and discoloration to the picture, and some marking / foxing and discoloration to the bevelled edges with very slight bumping to the corners, whilst the calendar tab cover is slightly creased and bumped. These calendars nevertheless remain reasonably presentable, and would therefore make ideal and unusual gifts for anyone celebrating their 60th birthday or anniversary this year; alternatively, they would provide an authentic finishing touch to a period room setting.
