An original vintage calendar from 1948, measuring approximately 23.7 x 29.3cm / 9.35 x 11.55in (plus calendar tab), with a large colour glamour print portrait of an attractive blonde lady with lilies, mounted on grey card. This is one of many original 1948 calendars of various designs which we have acquired as a job lot. These calendars are old shop stock and therefore unused, although they are not in mint condition, having been stored for many years in less-than-ideal conditions; this one accordingly has some marking (including a small amount of ingrained dirt) and discoloration and some warping to the card, together with some bumping to the edges and corners, and the picture itself is slightly marked. These calendars nevertheless remain reasonably presentable, and would provide an authentic finishing touch to a period room setting, or could be framed, without the calendars, as pictures - and would make an interesting and unusual birthday gift for anyone who turns 65 in 2013!
