Original 1947 calendar - "Gifts of Summer" (floral still life print on plain card)

An original vintage calendar from 1947, measuring approximately 12.4 x 16.1cm / 4.9 x 6.35in (plus calendar tab), with a colour still life print depicting a vase of colourful flowers entitled "Gifts of Summer", printed on plain card; the signature "Laurence Bindle" is visible to the bottom left.  This is one of a group of original 1947 calendars of various designs which we have acquired as a job lot.  These calendars are old shop stock and therefore unused, although they are not in mint condition, having been stored for many years in less-than-ideal conditions.  This particular calendar therefore has some ingrained dirt to the bottom edge of the print together with some discoloration, very slight edge wear and slight surface wear; there is some marking to the calendar tab cover, whilst the tab itself has some age discoloration with some buckling to "December"; the pale blue-green ribbons are somewhat discoloured, one of the tab ribbons being considerably frayed with a large hole.
