A souvenir china sugar bowl, c.1890-1914, with a coloured transfer scene entitled "Okehampton, Fore Street, Market Day" to one side, a lustrous pearl finish to the rest of the exterior (except the base) and traces of gilt trim, measuring approximately 12cm across at the top (max) and 6.2cm tall; there are no maker's marks. The bowl is of poor quality with a deep vertical fault line to the interior (behind the transfer), unevenness and chipping to the rim (covered with glaze or gilt and therefore dating from manufacture) and other irregularities in the moulding, and various spot marks and pinholes in the glaze; the lustrous finish is very worn, and there is much scratching and age wear both inside and out.
