Ogden's "St. Julien Tobacco" tin, c.1930s-50s

A c.1930s-50s vintage Ogden's "St. Julien Tobacco" 2oz tin (empty), measuring approximately 11.2 x 8.3 x 2.4cm (4.4 x 3.25 x 0.95in), with blue-black printed lid and remains of gilt finish to the remainder of the exterior and the inside lid.  The outside lid is very much darkened with age apart from some small areas where a brighter metallic finish shows through, and has had the words "PINS + OTHER THINGS" scratched on to one corner, together with considerable general wear including scratching, light rust spotting and some small shallow bumps; the inside lid is similarly worn with numerous scratches including scratched lettering; the body of the tin is heavily tarnished with rust spotting and patches (especially to the exterior) together with some surface wear.
