"Newby Hall" guide book, c.1950s

"Newby Hall: an illustrated survey of the Yorkshire home of the Compton family", published by English Life Publications Ltd., Derby; undated but of 1950s or early 1960s appearance.  This guide book, with 36 pages including covers, measures approximately 21.7 x 14cm (8.55 x 5.5in), and contains numerous photographs including a few in colour.  The original owner's name is written in ink at the top of the title page; there is slight creasing, discoloration and general age wear to the cover, together with some bumping and nicking to the page edges.
