Naval Ear Defender tin (empty), c.1940s-50s

A very small tin with hinged lid embossed with the words "NAVAL EAR DEFENDER", probably 1940s-50s, measuring approximately 4.5 x 2 x 1.1cm (1.75 x 0.8 x 0.45in).  The tin, which appears to be made of aluminium and has a light blue-green finish to the outside, probably originally contained a pair of ear plugs.  There is some scratching and age wear to the exterior, including wear to the finish at the edges, together with some marks to the interior.
