Mdina glass basket paperweight

A good (albeit unsigned) example of an ornamental Mdina glass basket paperweight, measuring approximately 13.3cm (5.25in) in height, 10cm (3.95in) in diameter at the centre, and 3.8cm (1.5in) in diameter at the foot.  The base is a deep turquoise blue with an irregular pattern of yellow streaks (the streaked parts of the glass appear green when held up to the light); the edge of the basket, and the handles, are clear with slight yellow streaking.  It has some air bubbles of varying size, together with other manufacturing irregularities; there are a few scratches and small patches / spots of abrasion to the surface, together with a few light scratches to the foot.
