Manikin Cigars advertising pottery pub water jug by Wade PDM, c.1970s

A c.1970s vintage Wade PDM pottery pub water jug, advertising "Manikin Cigars" ("J.R. Freeman & Son Ltd, Established 1839"), in dark brown glaze with matching red and white transfers to each side and round red transfer "WADE / pdm / MADE IN / ENGLAND" mark to base, measuring approximately 13cm (5.1in) in height (max) and 9.8cm (3.85in) in diameter at the base.  There is crazing to most of the surface (visible upon close examination), together with age wear including scratches and spots of abrasion to the surface and wear and marking to the foot; there are minor manufacturing imperfections including numerous tiny pockmarks and the odd small lump in the glaze together with minor imperfections to the transfers.
