Manicure implement with (?)tortoiseshell handle, c.1920s

A c.1920s metal manicure implement with (?)tortoiseshell handle, approximately 7cm long.  The handle has a slightly grainy texture, unlike celluloid - it could be real tortoiseshell, although this is not guaranteed.  There is some corrosion to the metal, together with scratching and age wear to the handle.
