M. Kennedy-Fraser (ed.), "Ten Selected Songs of the Hebrides for Schools" (c.1920s)

"Ten Selected Songs of the Hebrides (from Vols. I, II and III) for Unison Singing in Schools, arranged by M. Kennedy-Fraser" (with words mainly by Kenneth Macleod) (London, Boosey & Co. Ltd; no publication date, but copyright dates for individual songs ranging from 1908 to 1921, so probably 1920s).  Music book, 24pp plus paper covers, measuring approximately 19.7 x 28cm (7.75 x 11in).  Ten songs with piano accompaniments, and mostly with words in both English and Gaelic versions; the first song is "The Road to the Isles" (Air Lorg nan Eilan).  The original owner's name is written in blue pencil to the top corner of the front cover, and signed in blue ink to the top corner of the title page; the cover is marked and discoloured with age wear including creases, indentations, bumping to edges and corners, and slight splitting to the fold; the pages are discoloured and marked with several corner creases, bumping to edges and corners, some splitting to the folds and general wear.
