Lovell's "Toffee Rex" small toffee tin, with Santa Claus design to lid, c.1930s

A c.1930s vintage Lovell's "Toffee Rex" ("The King of Toffees") small toffee tin (empty) with hinged lid depicting Father Christmas / Santa Claus sitting on a rooftop dropping toys down a chimney, by G. F. Lovell & Co. Ltd, Newport & Manchester, measuring approximately 11.2 x 7.8 x 3.8cm (4.4 x 3.05 x 1.5in).  The printed surface is very worn and crackled with some marks, whilst there is considerable tarnish together with some rust spots and patches to the interior and base; the edges are misshapen in places, and there are a few indentations.
