Lord Nelson Pottery "Land's End" jug with transfer scene and Cornish crest, c.1974
A large "Land's End" jug by the Lord Nelson Pottery, measuring approximately 12cm (4.7in) tall and 10.4cm (4.1in) in diameter at the base, in shiny white glaze with a large colour transfer scene entitled "Land's End" to one side, a smaller Cornish crest with the words "Land's End" to the other side, and a small amount of gilt trim. The base is marked with a printed "Lord Nelson Pottery" stamp to the base incorporating the code "7-74", which suggests that this piece was produced in July 1974. Although there is slight wear to the gilt (mostly near the spout), together with some scratching / age wear to the transfers and a few other small marks and scratches, the jug is in very good condition overall.
