A vintage London Passenger Transport Board "Silver £5" money / change bag, measuring approximately 9.9 x 14.7cm (3.9 x 5.8in), in grey-brown paper printed in red, one side bearing the (partly blurred) printed stamp "KENTISH TOWN" and the initials "MW" in ink, together with the red printed code "X/608/5. (2000M. 9.41)" which suggests a date of September 1941. (The London Passenger Transport Board - also known as LPTB or London Transport - was responsible for public transport in the London area between 1933 and 1948.) The bag is in well-used condition with much creasing, marking and discoloration together with a diagonal row of pinholes to one side.
