"Llanstephan, Carmarthenshire" (and Castle) souvenir china milk jug / creamer, c.1890-1914

A late Victorian or early 20th century souvenir china milk jug / creamer, c.1890-1914, in white glaze with a black and white transfer view of "LLANSTEPHAN, CARMARTHENSHIRE" to one side and a matching view of "LLANSTEPHAN CASTLE" to the other, together with handpainted floral and gilt decoration; the unglazed base is marked with a round dark brown printed "MADE IN GERMANY" stamp together with the handpainted number "1099".  The jug, which measures approximately 9.9cm (3.9in) in height (max), 6.9cm (2.7in) in diameter at the base, and 11cm (4.35in) across including handle and pouring lip, has a tiny nibble to the tip of the lip, together with some age wear including scratching and abrasion to the surface, moderate wear to the gilt, some wear / imperfections to the transfers and painted decoration, and slight marking to the base; there are some minor manufacturing imperfections including some unevenness, small bumps and occasional spot marks / pinholes in the glaze.
