Leyland Motors "She's a Lady" advertising playing card box, c.1920s (B)

A c.1920s box of playing cards, measuring approximately 6.4 x 9.6 x 3.1cm (2.5 x 3.8 x 1.2in),  in gilt finish to the exterior with padded lid printed "Waddingtons / PLAYING CARDS", and dark brown to the interior with a piece of ribbon to aid removal of the cards; to the back is attached a "Leyland Motors Ltd" advertising card showing a blue-eyed, golden-haired lady with flowers, with the slogan "The Leyland - she's a Lady".  The (standard size) cards inside, however, are not advertising cards but have a blue and gold design to the backs, whilst the Ace of Spades incorporates the words "Universal Playing Card Co. Ltd. Crown Point Works Leeds"; therefore, although old, the cards are probably not original to the box.  There is considerable age wear and discoloration to the exterior of the box, although the hinge is intact; the attached advertising card has some marking and surface wear.  The Queen of Clubs is missing, and there are creases to some of the remaining cards, and general age wear to all. (A similar box, with a different Leyland lady advertising card attached, is for sale separately.)
