Lawrence H. Dawson, "Popular Card Games" (Bristol and London, W. D. & H. O. Wills, Branch of the Imperial Tobacco Co. (of Great Britain and Ireland), Ltd., 1933).  Hardcover (black cloth boards with gilt title and ornamentation to spine, embossed medallion to front), 160pp, measuring approximately 12 x 17.8 x 2.6cm (4.7 x 7 x 1in).  This volume, presumably produced as a promotional item by the manufacturers of Wills' Gold Flake and other cigarettes and tobaccos, contains accessible descriptions of such popular card games as Auction and Contract Bridge, Whist, Cribbage and Poker.  No dustjacket; there is some marking and fading to the cover together with moderate wear to the edges and corners including slight tearing to the ends of the spine hinges, whilst there is some weakness to the binding in places; the pages are discoloured with foxing and other marks, together with some edge and corner wear including some bumping and a few corner creases.
