A late Victorian or Edwardian "Noah's Ark Pictorial Card Game", c.1890-1910 (manufacturer unknown), unboxed but with all cards and instructions present. The game consists of 52 cards, each measuring approximately 6.2 x 9cm (2.45 x 3.55in), comprising seventeen "families" of animals (mother, father and baby) plus a card representing Noah; according to the rules, the holder of the "Noah" card may "drown" any babies in his hand whose parents have "entered the Ark" without them. The cards show considerable wear including discoloration, bumping to edges and slight marking, with many of the cards creased and some torn; the instructions are likewise discoloured with a somewhat rough left edge.
