A large c.1950s pottery vase, measuring approximately 26cm (10.25in) in height and 7.7cm (3.05in) in diameter at the base, in off-white satin glaze with pale grey horizontal linear background pattern and handpainted abstract design resembling fish and aquatic plants, with shiny bluish-grey-green glaze to the interior; the base bears the impressed code number "1057 / 25", and is stamped "FOREIGN". There is a horizontal hairline crack about 4cm (1.55in) long to the top of the vase below the rim (not visible in the photographs), together with a few unglazed patches near the foot, occasional small lumps to the surface, slight marking to the exterior, age wear to the foot, and some crazing to the interior glaze visible near the opening.
