Large round French "Yalacta" Bakelite kitchen container with aluminium liner, c.1930s-50s

A large round French "Yalacta" kitchen container of c.1930s-50s vintage, in mottled reddish-brown Bakelite with lid (not screw-top) with knob in the shape of the letter Y, together with its original aluminium liner and inner lid; although it originally formed part of a yoghurt maker which would have included a set of six or seven glass or ceramic yoghurt pots, it could still be used as a general-purpose container.  The outer Bakelite container, which measures approximately 20cm (7.85in) in diameter at the base and 10.5cm (4.15in) tall excluding the lid knob, is marked "YALACTA 4" to the inside lid and "MADE IN FRANCE" to the base; the lid of the liner is likewise marked "YALACTA / 4".  There is some age wear to the Bakelite including scratches, scuffs and a few nibbles / fleabites; there is some surface corrosion, marking, scratching and general age wear to the liner and inner lid.
