Williams, "Stamp Collecting" ("Illustrated Teach Yourself" series: Leicester, Brockhampton Press Ltd, "This edition first published 1972; ISBN 0 340 14951 5).  Hardcover (illustrated board covers) with original dustjacket of identical design, 96pp, measuring approximately 15.6 x 22.3 x 1.5cm (6.15 x 8.8 x 0.6in).  "Over a hundred stamps represented in full colour and thirty-five in black and white (together with line drawings and diagrams) illustrate this basic handbook which is particularly designed for the beginner.  But many experienced stamp collectors will gain a great deal of inspiration from the text."  The dustjacket is price-clipped with ragged edges and long tears, with the film covering partly peeled off, and is tanned to the inside; the board cover is slightly faded to the rims with indentations, edge wear, slight bumping to corners, slight tanning and a few small marks; the pages are discoloured with tanning and foxing to edges together with occasional slight marks.
