John H. D. Hooper, "Horseshoe Bats" (The Sunday Times, "Animals of Britain" series, no. 2, 1962).  This 24-page booklet with thin card cover, containing many black and white photographs, measures approximately 17.7 x 23.1cm (6.95 x 9.1in).  The cover is slightly marked and discoloured with wear to the edges and small patches of fading to the front edges; the pages are slightly yellowed, and there is a crease to the bottom corner of the first page, together with some rust to the staples.
