Booklet (thin card covers), 24pp plus frontispiece portrait of author and four black and white illustrations, measuring approximately 12.5 x 18.4cm (4.9 x 7.25in). "This is the story of a Spaniard who worked as a slave under the Nazi taskmasters for five years in France and the Channel Islands during the German Occupation in World War II, and who in the end found peace as a British subject in Guernsey." The cover is discoloured and foxed with some patches of surface damage (especially at the edges) plus a few light creases and some edge and corner wear; the pages are discoloured with slight marking, slight tanning to some edges, and moderate edge, corner and general wear, whilst there is some rust to the staples.
