Jersey Pottery handpainted jug in brown and white with Jersey crest, c.1960s

A vintage Jersey Pottery jug, c.1960s, in shiny white glaze with handpainted decoration in various shades of brown; to one side the name and crest of Jersey appear in shallow relief.  The jug, which measures approximately 13.4cm (5.3in) in height to the top of the handle and 5.5cm (2.15in) in diameter at the foot, is marked "Jersey / Pottery / C.I." in relief to the base.  There are a few scratches to the surface, together with a small rust mark to the interior and some age wear to the foot; there are also some minor manufacturing irregularities including a glazed-over cluster of small lumps to the base of the interior.
